In late 1973 after the loss of a very close friend on the lines, he decided to pursue a different career and applied for the RCMP and was accepted and sent to Killam, AB. after his training in Regina. In 1975 he was transferred to Red Deer where he met his wife Yvonne and they married in Red Deer in August of 1979. Ted has lived and worked in Killam, Red Deer, Grande Cache, Jasper, Lethbridge, Consort, Leduc, Viking, Coronation and Ponoka. In 2005 he retired from the RCMP after 32 years of service and moved with his wife back to Red Deer which has always been his home since moving to Alberta. Ted now works in Red Deer.
