About Ted Hiscock

Ted Hiscock was born in St.
John's, NL and was raised on the southern shore of Conception Bay South in the
community of Manuels not far from there.
Growing up Ted was always involved with music as was his father and involved
in many living room and kitchen parties playing and singing.
After high school Ted took electronics and then went to work as a
lineman and later a cable splicer and worked from the east coast to the west
coast in NL. In late 1973 after the loss
of a very close friend on the lines, he decided to pursue a different career
and applied for the RCMP and was accepted and sent to Killam, AB. after his
training in Regina. In 1975 he was
transferred to Red Deer where he met his wife Yvonne and they married in Red
Deer in August of 1979. Ted has lived and
worked in Killam, Red Deer, Grande Cache, Jasper, Lethbridge, Consort, Leduc,
Viking, Coronation and Ponoka. In 2005
he retired from the RCMP after 32 years of service and moved with his wife back
to Red Deer which has always been his home since moving to Alberta. Ted now works
in Red Deer. Ted and Yvonne have three
children and one grandchild who also live in Red Deer.
